Access Controls Architect Associate

As a Policy Architect within the CIB Role Based Access Control (RBAC) team, you will play a critical role in driving RBAC adoption and automation across CIB business units. You will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and enabling automated access control policies that ensure users have appropriate access to systems and data based on their job function. This position requires close collaboration and relationship management with business and technology stakeholders, leveraging data analysis to support decision-making, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our access management framework.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and automate RBAC policies across business units in CIB, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure business-specific access needs are met.

  • Analyze employee reference attribute and access data to develop recommendations for grouping employees with similar job functions and access patterns, supporting effective RBAC policy design.

  • Drive adoption of automated accesses by identifying high-impact opportunities and partnering with Information Owners to address application-specific challenges, ensuring RBAC policies maximize automation from the outset.

  • Deliver training and education to business and technology stakeholders, ensuring understanding of RBAC processes, responsibilities, and best practices for effective access management.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned business units, addressing questions, building strong relationships, and managing project execution to drive successful RBAC adoption and automation

  • Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities to accelerate RBAC adoption and automation across CIB by leveraging data analysis, business segment expertise, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and documentation for senior management and business stakeholders, presenting progress against KPIs and escalating key risks and dependencies.
  • Continuously review and enhance access management processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Candidates with 2+ years of relevant work experience in access management, controls, risk mitigation, or similar areas are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience analyzing large data sets.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to independently drive tasks and initiatives to completion within required timelines.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

  • Advanced proficiency in English, with effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration, training, and stakeholder engagement.
