Legal at JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a global team of over 2,000 professionals responsible for delivering legal services across the firm. As part of the Corporate Sector, Legal is structured to align with the firm’s lines of business. The Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Legal team provides counsel to all businesses serving consumers and small businesses, advising on regulatory changes and supporting business initiatives.

As a Finance and Business Management Vice President within the Consumer and Community Banking Legal team, you will partner closely with the Senior Business Manager, the Consumer and Community Banking General Counsel, and Practice Group Heads, providing both strategic and operational support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead global budget planning and ongoing expense forecasting for the CCB Legal organization, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and within budget.
  • Advise Finance & Business Management on forecasting, headcount monitoring, and outside counsel spend, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Manage internal and external expense tracking, headcount, and financial reporting, delivering clear and concise reports for senior management.
  • Support strategic agenda development and prioritization, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Plan and develop materials for business reviews, town halls, off-sites, and weekly management meetings.
  • Take ownership of meeting management: coordinate agendas, capture detailed notes, track action items, and follow up to ensure timely completion—helping the team stay organized and focused.
  • Coordinate administrative functions and provide operational support to ensure seamless execution of day-to-day activities.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management, including presentations and ad-hoc analysis

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • 6 + years of experience in Business Analytics and/or Financial Planning, with a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with the ability to evaluate alternative approaches and assess financial implications of structural or process changes.
  • Advanced data analytics and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, etc.) and hands-on experience with financial reporting systems (e.g., Essbase, Tableau, Alteryx, Business Objects).
  • Exceptional project and process management skills, including the ability to plan meetings, create agendas, document outcomes, track assignments, and keep teams accountable for deliverables.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to escalate issues, propose solutions, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and capture key discussion points, decisions, and action items in a fast-paced environment. Must have effective information and knowledge management practices—organizing, storing, and retrieving critical information to facilitate rapid response to business needs.
  • Ability to thrive in a distributed team environment, collaborating with colleagues, partners, and clients across multiple U.S. cities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Experience with financial infrastructure and data systems; programming experience (e.g., SQL, Tableau) is a plus.
