Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst - Senior Associate

As a Senior Associate in the Regulatory External Data Solutions team, you will play a key role in managing and ensuring that our external data filings are materially accurate, complete, and timely. These filings are essential for complying with regulatory, financial, external, and legal obligations that impact critical bank submissions.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze large loan-level datasets for accurate reporting.
- Translate reporting instructions into quality data outputs.
- Enhance analytical review processes and maintain data governance documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Risk, and Compliance.
- Participate in high-profile assignments and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct deep-dive data analysis to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Research data issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Assist with business interpretation of requirements and liaise with technology teams.
- Present analytical findings to leadership and lead development sessions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or related fields.
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis or data analytics, specializing in the development and delivery of reports.
- Proficient in SQL with the ability to read and write complex data queries for report prototyping.
- Experience with automating reporting.
- Strong skills in Excel and JIRA.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences with the ability to adapt to change and mentor junior staff.
- Experience in agile reporting methodologies and project management.
- Comfortable with medium to large datasets and detailed documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address business challenges through data-driven solutions.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with Alteryx for data preparation and analytics is a plus, though not mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage industry and expertise in generating reports.

- This role requires the ability to physically work in our offices 5 days a week
