OTC Derivative Testing Business Analyst

Job responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end project and test management for complex OTC derivatives initiatives.
  • Engage stakeholders and manage business user expectations to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Oversee timelines and milestones, proactively addressing risks throughout each project phase.
  • Provide SME leadership across the Derivatives Domain and application stack; collaborate with Technology to resolve JIRAs.
  • Analyze requirements, identify applicable scenarios, create test packs, and secure sign-offs for new initiatives.
  • Manage automation scripting, defect and gap analysis, and leakage analysis as part of comprehensive testing.
  • Resolve escalated risks, assumptions, and issues to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Adhere to internal processes, including configuration management, change control, and data/system access.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
  • Manage delivery through internal teams and communicate progress and risks to senior management.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent.
  • Formal training in Project Management.
  • Experience in FX, Derivatives, Finance, Banking domain.
  • Should have been engaged in global implementation programs in Finance Domain.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7years experience in global implementation of Trading/Banking applications a plus.
  • CFA is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft office suite and the windows desktop.
  • Familiar with major relational database management systems Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server.
