The Latin America & Canada (LAC) Chief Data Office drives regional adoption of the Firm’s data governance strategy, ensuring the consistent application of firmwide data policies, standards, and procedures across the region’s lines of business, legal entities, while meeting regional regulatory expectations and strengthening data risk oversight.
As Data Governance Analyst, where you will help drive regional implementation of firmwide data governance, support regulatory compliance, and foster a strong data culture across the region.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize and facilitate regional data governance forums, including agenda setting, stakeholder engagement, and documentation of decisions and escalations
- Develop, review, and communicate monthly data risk metrics for the region, conduct on going monitoring and reporting of data related risks, ensuring timely escalation to management and governance forums
- Support coordination of data regulatory requirements implementation, providing clear summaries and gap analysis to management and stakeholders (especially focusing on Data Privacy, Data Quality)
- Maintain and update regional data governance documents, ensuring alignment with firmwide and local requirements;
- Collaborate with central teams to prepare and deliver responses to regulatory inquiries, surveys, and data-related requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and firmwide standards
- Develop expertise on the firms Data Governance elements and regulatory requirements across the region.
- This role is ideal for candidates who thrives in evolving environments, are skilled at synthesizing information from different sources, demonstrate independent judgment, and consistently connect the dots across all data governance activities.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years’ experience in risk management, controls or regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with experience producing management and regulatory reports.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills is a must (Spanish and English).
- Highly motivated individual with excellent time management & organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial services experience is preferred.
- Portuguese preferred.
- Law degree is preferred.
