As a Business Management Associate in the Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) Finance & Business Management (F&BM) team, you support the Merchant Services (Payments) Small and Medium Business (SMB) by delivering reporting, analytics, and executive materials that inform strategic decisions. You will partner with business managers, finance, and project teams to lead financial processes, investment planning, business cases, budgeting, monthly reviews, OKRs, and special projects. Your work will surface trends, risks, and opportunities that help senior leadership optimize performance and manage risk.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and maintain recurring and ad‑hoc reporting to track key business drivers and performance trends.
- Perform deep‑dive analyses to identify risks, opportunities, and root causes, translating findings into clear recommendations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly executive reporting packages and presentations that communicate strategy and performance projections.
- Rapidly create mock‑ups for management presentations, reports, and dashboards to accelerate decision-making.
- Coordinate deliverables and timelines with business managers, finance, project managers, and other F&BM partners.
- Respond promptly to executive ad‑hoc requests across project management, presentation development, and business analysis.
- Leverage Excel and Alteryx to organize, cleanse, and analyze large datasets; distill insights into concise, executive‑ready materials.
- Identify issues, align stakeholders, design solutions, and drive execution through resolution with clear, timely communication.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while simplifying and improving business processes with global team members.
- Uphold strong risk awareness by identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks across deliverables.
- Contribute to investment planning, business cases, budgeting, monthly business reviews, and OKRs for the SMB portfolio.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills; ability to craft a clear narrative and translate complex qualitative and quantitative insights into concise executive materials.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to handle large datasets and derive decision‑ready insights; knowledge of or interest in learning Alteryx.
- Demonstrated project and time management skills with strong organization and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate across large, matrixed teams; build trusted relationships and influence at multiple levels; partner with leadership to implement business solutions.
- Self‑motivated, tenacious, and able to work independently; adaptable to shifting priorities while maintaining high‑quality outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience using PowerPoint with PitchPro+ for executive‑level presentation development.
- Experience with Excel and Alteryx for analytics and workflow automation.
