As Vice President and Global Alternatives Investment Solutions (GAIS) Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for enhancing and overseeing the compliance program for an investment team (Multi-Asset Private Markets) responsible for sourcing, evaluating and managing private markets investments across asset classes such as private equity, private credit and private real assets. This role involves collaborating with executive management and control partners and will require a proven ability to manage large-scale compliance programs and strategic initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior business, legal and other control partners to embed a robust and scalable compliance program for a rapidly growing alternative investments business, while continually driving enhancements and improvements.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to understand the implications of large scale projects and strategic initiatives on relevant compliance programs (e.g., information barriers, conflicts of interest, etc.) and to drive the implementation of corresponding uplifts.
- Update compliance policies and procedures and training.
- Participate in investment committees and other governance bodies as compliance representative.
- Participate in developing and implementing best practices across the broader Alts Compliance and Asset Management Compliance teams.
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement regulatory change.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Subject matter expertise in Advisers Act, conflicts of interest and fiduciary duties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals across departments/functions and with senior-level stakeholders.
- Ability to synthesize and analyze diverse information, develop recommendations, and make informed decisions.
- Proven track record of working on large-scale projects and strategic initiatives utilizing a well-organized, structured approach.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with fund of funds and private funds preferred.
- Experience with Wealth Management distribution of Alternative Investments preferred.
