As a Technology Support Lead in Production Management Core Payments Technology, you will play a leadership role in ensuring the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production services. Critical thinking while overseeing day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems will be key and set you up for success as you navigate tasks related to identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
Job responsibilities
- Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm
- Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability
- Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools
- Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
- Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
- Proven strong track record as a production support role for a real-time payment processing with hands-on involvement in foreign banks in Korea, especially in the clearing domain, such as HOFINET, HOFIBOK, IFT, ENotes, CMS, RPR, and GIRO.
- Strong proficiency in English and Korean (written and spoken), and required to work in Korea.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
- Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
- Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- Technical Skillset: Unix / Linux technologies, Shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, Oracle / SQL, Cassandra
- Monitoring, telemetry/ Observability tools (ITRS Geneos/ Grafana/ Datadog/ Dynatrace/Splunk)
- Messaging frameworks, Kafka, MQ
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting in organizing work processes, automating tasks, and enhancing with AI
- Experience in incident remediations hands-on for real-time payment applications with wide service range and complex business processing logics
- Experience liaising with a regulator (Korea FSS) including an incident reg reporting and working in banking payment regulatory reporting domain
- Experience working in tech controls or regulatory mandates including data access control for oversea employees, assets in data centers and global applications for Korea Payments Business
- Experience working to manage production infrastructures and its relevant resiliency activities including disaster recovery, sustained resiliency and cyber recovery
- Strong collaborator with ability to foster relationships effectively with diverse groups across geographies.
- Adaptable and able to multi-task, handling complex requirements.
