This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the Alternative Fund Services (AFS) team and partner with our Business to provide comprehensive and high-quality outsourced administration & banking services to private equity firms and institutional investors. J.P. Morgan enables private equity managers and institutional investors to focus on building wealth - while we take care of all their administrative needs.

As an AFS Executive Director in J.P. Morgan, you will operate in a client centric & end to end model. You will have full ownership of all aspects of fund administration including but not limited to client services, financial reporting, investor relations, and capital event servicing. This role will require the successful individual to have overall ownership for AFS Luxembourg product and operations while ensuring regulatory governance for all functions carried out for the entity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support a culture carrier for J.P. Morgan’s Business Principles supporting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across the organisation.
  • Build strong and meaningful relationships with Client stakeholders through a keen understanding of contractual and service delivery agreements with a dedication to excellent execution against agreed deliveries.
  • Establish regulatory control frameworks aligned to the AFS operating model and ensuring Luxembourg entity governance.
  • Define product specific activities for AFS clients contracted to Luxembourg ensuring alignment to product definitions.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting, audit, and reporting functions for a portfolio of closed ended, open ended and semi closed ended private equity and hedge funds.
  • Execute LP / investors’ capital calls, distributions, investor financial reports and capital statements.
  • Manage self and team in terms of deliveries, development & growth.
  • Defend against service scope creep and enforcing rigorous Change Control processes.
  • Execute the function’s control frameworks through high quality execution of checklists and procedure production, successful partnerships with Business Control functions as well as Internal audits.
  • Design, build and implement solutions to eliminate manual processes and reduce risk.
  • Ensure timely escalation of both successes and issues to Senior Management.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • A proactive attitude demonstrating the ability to multi-task and work to tight reporting deadlines. Organisation and planning skills are key to the role.
  • Dedicated to doing the right thing showing ownership and accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of AFS product types for Luxembourg structures.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to own the full end to end servicing of a fund or client relationship.
  • Strong understanding of Luxembourg regulatory environment and governance frameworks.
  • Data literate, understanding the importance of the data chain in private market structures and skilled in governing its upkeep.
  • An advocate of a global operating model with a drive to develop self and the global team, to improve processes and client outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A qualified/part-qualified accountant or with proven experience in accounting with exposure to US/Lux/UK GAAP and IFRS.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Strong acumen of Alteryx is a distinct advantage.
  • FIS Investran or Arcesium or equivalent double entry accounting platform knowledge an advantage.
  • Prior experience in Private Equity fund administration or alternatives funds industry preferred.
