Technical Writer, Vice President

As a Technical Writer for the Payments business within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB), you’ll work with a talented team of developers, product owners, content strategists and designers dedicated to next-generation B2B digital products. You’ll help elevate user engagement for client developers by producing and editing high-quality API documentation.
In addition, you’ll own important initiatives, drive innovative solutions to complex problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams. As a champion of inclusive design and customer experience, you’ll contribute to the continuing success of JPMorganChase as a global leader in B2B payments.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with product owners and developers to understand Payments products and identify documentation requirements.
- Create, edit, and review technical content (such as API docs and user guides) for new and updated features, following established content guidelines and the style guide.
- Drive for clarity, consistency, and appropriate depth of detail across documentation sets and product domains.
- Partner with designers, user researchers, information architects, project managers, platform owners, and other stakeholders to improve developer experience.
- Provide insights and recommendations on authoring tools, documentation processes, and performance metrics to improve content quality and delivery efficiency.
- Contribute to content standards and style guides, and help maintain scalable documentation workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a technical writer or technical content creator.
- Portfolio of technical writing samples demonstrating strong structure, clarity, and consistency of voice.
- Strong experience documenting APIs and developer-facing technical products.
- Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and understand how systems work.
- Experience with software development workflows and tooling (e.g., Bitbucket, Jira) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience supporting software development and/or technical support of complex systems.
