As an EDG Sales – Associate in EMEA Sales & Marketing, you will engage with institutional clients in Germany & Austria to cater to their needs within Equity Derivatives and find innovative solutions leveraging on J.P. Morgan’s product & trading platform. You will partner with global teams across Research, Structuring and Trading to drive product innovation, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Your role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, expand your expertise, and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive environment. You will play a key part in deepening client relationships, delivering product pitches and building to the success of our team.

Job responsibilities

  • Cover institutional clients across Germany & Austria for Equity Derivatives.
  • Identify new business opportunities across the client franchise.
  • Understand & apply the full suite of products across the Equity Derivatives business.
  • Develop innovative solutions to client needs in cooperation with Structuring & Trading.
  • Collaborate closely with Trading, Legal, and Operations to ensure flawless trade execution in all matters.
  • Be an instrumental part in driving the technology agenda, focusing on automation within the Flow Sales workflow from Execution to Analytics.
  • Support senior salespeople with presentations, meeting preparations, market analysis & market commentary.
  • Represent J.P. Morgan at conferences and events.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong understanding of equity markets and derivatives, including pricing components.
  • Demonstrated experience of client coverage and execution in institutional sales & trading.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, as well as to deal confidently with people at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Reliability, attention to detail and a team-player mentality.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English & German.
  • Strong work ethic and adaptability.
  • Sales experience covering institutional clients across Germany & Austria.
  • Experience of generating trade ideas in Equity Derivatives.
  • Knowledge of programming tools & techniques.
  • An enquiring mind, perseverance and the ability to handle a large amount of information.
  • Initiative to question processes and strive for improvement.
