Job Summary

As an Executive Director within Securities Trade Processing, you oversee the full lifecycle of securities trades from capture and confirmation through settlement and fail management. You lead operational performance, strengthen controls and governance, and partner cross-functionally to resolve complex trade and settlement issues. You drive process improvement, reporting discipline, and readiness for audits, change, and business continuity events

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end securities trade processing across capture, confirmation, settlement, and fails.
  • Oversee daily trade capture validation and accurate booking into internal systems.
  • Manage trade confirmations to ensure timely, accurate counterparty and client communication.
  • Supervise settlement execution to meet market, custody, and regulatory timelines.
  • Investigate fail trades, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Mitigate operational risk through strong controls, governance, and exception management.
  • Partner with Client Ops, Technology, and counterparties to resolve breaks and settlement issues.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Monitor KPIs, exceptions, and EOD/intraday critical reports, escalating issues appropriately.
  • Support audits, BCP preparedness, and change delivery for new products and system enhancements

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of securities trade lifecycle processing and settlement disciplines.
  • Lead teams with strong people management, performance coaching, and accountability.
  • Apply risk and control expertise to manage exceptions, escalations, and regulatory obligations.
  • Execute root-cause analysis and drive sustainable remediation for operational issues.
  • Communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, clients, and external counterparties.
  • Analyze metrics and operational data to improve service levels and reduce errors/fails.
  • Operate effectively in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments with strong prioritization.

  • Drive automation initiatives and operating model improvements across Securities Operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with Technology on system enhancements and incident management.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to deliver process standardization and controls uplift.
  • Manage complex stakeholder ecosystems including custodians, clearing agents, and utilities.
  • Deliver audit-ready documentation, control evidence, and issue remediation plans.
  • Support new product onboarding and market/regulatory change implementation.
  • Build high-performing teams through structured training, mentoring, and succession planning.
