As a Payment Lifecycle Manager I within Payments Operations, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our payment operations framework by streamlining processes, implementing new technologies, and developing operational functions. You will manage payment processing across various products, ensuring smooth fund transfers and reconciling purchase and sales options, futures, or securities, while leveraging your proficiency in automation, cybersecurity, and anti-fraud awareness to ensure security and efficiency. Your ability to manage stakeholders, influence decisions, and handle conflicts will drive mutually beneficial outcomes, and your strategic planning skills will guide our direction and resource allocation decisions. Additionally, your proficiency in AI/ML will be utilized to solve complex problems and enhance processes, applying your knowledge in market product and process improvement to optimize operations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support Change Management activities and drive operational readiness for ALL system changes. These initiatives have significant financial, reputational or regulatory risk, and requires deep and broad subject matter expertise (and the willingness to learn / dive into new content areas)
  • Develop and contribute to concise communication materials for senior management; strong verbal and written communications and deck-writing skills required.
  • Track and follow up on action items, and working with the work steam leads to get progress and status updates.
  • Work with strategy leads, controls, and other partners to implement governance / control points / proper SOP documentation needs for newly developed business processes and changes
  • Support successful execution of each program in the strategic portfolio, including quickly escalating key issues/recommendations to senior management for resolution
  • Understanding of Nostro reconciliation and Treasury cut-off managements. Be a team player and collaborate with colleagues across the Business Banking organization
  • Coordinate key inputs required from the business for approvals processes. Communicate effectively with manager to enable transparency of the program status
  • Demonstrate superior judgment to mitigate risk. Escalate risk/control issues and ensure trends are anticipated and identified
  • Demonstrate a high degree of initiative in identifying automation opportunities. Manage special projects on an as needed basis
  • Needs to manage and uphold Stakeholder engagement. Support all general administration duties of the wider team.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to create executive-ready materials and decks.
  • Comfortable presenting to and interacting with all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Influencing and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
  • Demonstrated initiative and strong work ethic; able to set and achieve challenging goals, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude; collaborates across the Business Banking organization.
  • Project management skills. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in change and project management or related disciplines.
  • Financial services industry experience; commercial or business banking exposure is a plus.
  • Experience with complex demand management and technical programs.
  • Understanding of Payment processing and SWIFT ISO standards will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of automation tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Machine Learning will be an added advantage
