As a CCB Trust and Security – Affluent Fraud Strategy – Vice President, you will be responsible for development of loss line trends, root cause analysis and strategy adjustments to minimize losses while focusing on optimal customer experience. You will engage closely with partners in risk and supported businesses to ensure fraud risks associated with new business initiatives are represented, understood and that adequate controls are in place. You will also be responsible for crafting executive management reporting through business reviews, Risk Operating Committee forums, risk committee forums, and routine regulatory engagements. Your work product will be shared with senior leaders across the firm, ranging from CEOs, CROs, to Operating Committee members. You will play a critical role in translating complex data insights into compelling narratives that drive informed decision-making and shape risk management strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing strategies using internal and external tools to prevent and identify fraudulent applications, including misrepresentation and misuse
  • Continually evaluate and implement improvements to strategies using both internal and vendor provided inputs
  • Partner with fraud prevention and business operations teams to optimize rule performance and respond to fraud trends.
  • Support delivery of key performance indicators and business metrics
  • Coordinate functional requirements with business management staff and technical solutions with systems programming and analyst staff
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path issues
  • Demonstrated control and documentation skills
  • Craft executive management reporting through business reviews, Risk Operating Committee forums, risk committee forums, and routine regulatory engagements
  • Translate complex data insights into compelling narratives that effectively communicate risk management strategies and inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and relevance in reporting and presentations
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Business Banking Lending business and associated risks to provide valuable insights and recommendations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in risk management and data storytelling, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across the firm to ensure alignment and understanding of risk management strategies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy, risk management, data analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and concise narratives
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to senior leaders
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL, Tableau

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Financial industry experience preferred
