Job Summary
As a Home Lending Financial Planning & Analysis Lead within the Home Lending FP&A team, you play a pivotal role in forecasting, modeling, and strategic financial analysis. You own and optimize key qualitative methodologies, deliver insightful presentations, and partner with business leaders to drive results. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and leading projects that impact the firm’s financial performance. Job Responsibilities
- Lead ownership and optimization of seven Home Lending Qualitative Methodologies (QMs), including model enhancements, performance management, and back testing.
- Maintain technical documentation, coordinate remediation of open issues, and lead periodic re-reviews with Model Risk Governance and Review (MRGR).
- Execute Home Lending models and QMs for Budget and Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) processes.
- Prepare management review presentations by analyzing business drivers, writing commentary, and delivering clear financial narratives.
- Analyze business models, earnings sensitivities, and strategic initiatives to enhance understanding of financial results.
- Manage projects with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery of key milestones.
- Lead additional analyses as required by senior management.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with business lines and corporate functions, including External Reporting, Investor Relations, and Corporate Financial Analysis.
- Support ad hoc projects as needed.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Robust understanding of financial modeling principles and best practices.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in the consolidation, review, analysis, and presentation of financials.
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and project management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Self-starter who is driven to excel and initiate improvements.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Master’s degree in an analytical field with strong statistical analysis skills.
- Twelve years of professional experience analyzing profit and loss and balance sheet drivers.
- Previous experience in home lending.
- Experience with internal modeling and financial systems such as FRAME and Essbase.
