Duties: Enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Design, develop, and optimize high-performance, distributed transactional data systems that power mission-critical financial applications. Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and low-latency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Senior Java Developer, Specialist - System Development, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Senior Java Developer, Specialist - System Development, Programmer Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: designing, developing, and deploying microservices and distributed applications using Java., J2EE, Spring and spring boot to deliver robust, scalable solutions. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: utilizing microservices architecture and design patterns, including domain- driven design, service decomposition, API gateway integration, and best practices for building maintainable, loosely coupled systems; working with RESTful API design and implementation, ensuring secure and well-documented interfaces for seamless integration between services and external clients; developing microservices that communicate asynchronously through messaging platforms, such as Kafka and JMS, enabling loose coupling, scalability, and resilience in distributed systems by leveraging event-driven communication patterns; designing and implementing event- driven architectures using messaging systems such as Apache Kafka and Java Message Service (JMS) within Java applications built on the Spring framework, including message serialization, error handling, and delivery guarantees; optimizing and scaling event-driven systems, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, and ensure system reliability and high availability in demanding production environments; integrating and managing both SQL such as Oracle or PostgreSQL and NoSQL such as MongoDB or Redis databases within Java applications using the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Data JPA and Spring Data MongoDB; designing data models and schemas tailored to the requirements of SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and data integrity through normalization, indexing, and partitioning strategies; optimizing database access patterns, implementing efficient queries, indexing strategies, and caching mechanisms to improve application performance and reduce latency; working with Docker and containerization concepts, including building, deploying, and managing containerized applications for consistent environments across development, testing, and production; working with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment, managing microservices at scale, automating deployments, and ensuring efficient resource utilization in cloud-native environments; deploying, monitoring, and scaling applications in cloud environments and leveraging cloud-native services; working with automated testing frameworks including JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber for developing comprehensive unit, integration, and acceptance tests to maintain code quality and reliability; implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or similar, automating build, test, and deployment processes to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of software updates; and working in Agile/Scrum environments, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and collaborating with cross- functional teams to deliver high-quality software iteratively.
