You will partner across Control Management, Finance & Business Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations and Technology to align priorities, establish clear governance, and deliver on critical initiatives spanning cross‑CIB control frameworks, regulatory and policy changes, and operating model simplification.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as strategic advisor and execution partner to the Control Management Lead: shape priorities, craft the narrative, and prepare executive‑level materials for senior forums.
  • Own the Central Control Management operating rhythm: design and deliver monthly/quarterly business and financial packs, control performance scorecards, and leadership reviews tailored to varied audiences.
  • Lead cross‑functional program delivery for enterprise control initiatives (e.g., control framework modernization, regulatory/policy implementation, risk assessment and KRI enhancements, Client Outcomes & ESG controls) from roadmap through benefits realization.
  • Partner with F&BM to manage budgeting and forecasting for headcount and direct expenses; ensure disciplined financial controls, investment prioritization, and transparent trade‑offs.
  • Build and refine capacity and demand views across Controls; enable activity‑based insights to optimize allocations and demonstrate productivity, efficiency, and value creation.
  • Transform complex datasets into actionable insights and clear narratives; produce executive‑ready analysis and visualizations to drive decisions and accountability.
  • Establish and run pragmatic governance: agendas, decision logs, risk/issue management, dependency tracking, and standardized reporting across regions and products.
  • Define and track outcome‑based KPIs for control health, issue management, remediation timeliness, and operating efficiency; socialize progress and escalate obstacles.
  • Coordinate deliverables across stakeholders; align scope, timelines, and adoption, ensuring single‑source‑of‑truth artifacts and clear decision rights.
  • Influence senior stakeholders to remove blockers, resolve conflicts, and maintain momentum on the Central Controls Management book of work.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred.
  • Extensive experience leading business management and/or large, cross‑functional programs in Control Management, Risk/Compliance, Operations, or top‑tier Consulting.
  • Proven ability to operate at Executive Director level as a senior individual contributor, driving outcomes through influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Advanced storytelling and executive communication skills; ability to simplify complex control and risk topics into concise, decision‑ready materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; experience turning large datasets into actionable insights with high attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Demonstrated financial stewardship: headcount and expense forecasting, investment prioritization, benefits tracking, and financial controls.
  • Excellent program and portfolio management capabilities, including governance design and risk/dependency management, with a track record of delivery in fast‑paced settings.
  • Outstanding relationship building and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders across business and corporate functions.
  • Self‑starter with a high degree of ownership; comfortable setting structure from ambiguity and delivering with quality and speed.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • First line of defence Control Management experience within a large, global financial institution; familiarity with CIB products and operating models.
  • Exposure to regulatory change and policy implementation, complaints management, ESG/Client Outcomes controls, and cross‑CIB control frameworks.
  • Proficiency with executive presentation and data visualization tools; comfort producing leadership‑quality materials (e.g., PitchPro+ or similar).
