Job summary
As a Credit Proposal Quality Control Representative in Wholesale Lending Services, you will perform quality reviews of credit proposals and related facility set-ups to confirm alignment between supporting documentation and credit risk system data. You will identify, document, and escalate inconsistencies, while helping maintain effective controls and timely issue resolution. You will support continuous improvement efforts, including process enhancements and reporting, to strengthen quality and reduce operating risk.
Job responsibilities
- Perform quality reviews across key credit processes, primarily focused on credit proposals.
- Analyze facility set-ups in the credit risk system to confirm alignment with supporting documentation.
- Identify, document, and report inconsistencies and exceptions, ensuring they are addressed accurately and on time.
- Manage and monitor production queues, exception reporting, and key performance indicators.
- Help ensure controls are documented, maintained, and updated to reduce operating risk.
- Partner with operations, credit, control, and technology stakeholders to resolve issues and improve outcomes.
- Engage technology partners to support database functionality and stability improvements.
- Prepare ad hoc reporting for control partners and audit requests, as needed.
- Research and analyze data to support projects and process improvements.
- Support implementation activities for new initiatives and platform/process changes.
- Participate in working groups and team initiatives focused on improving the overall quality environment.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial services operations, audit, accounting control, regulatory, or compliance functions.
- Knowledge of lending and loan processing/support operations, including relevant regulatory practices.
- Ability to review, interpret, and apply credit approval requirements and policy expectations in daily work.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills and sound judgment.
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on accuracy and quality.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to research and reconcile information across sources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, sharing information with colleagues and management.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with credit products such as revolving lines of credit, term loans, commercial cards, and letters of credit.
- Experience reading and interpreting loan and/or compliance documentation.
- Familiarity with iCRD and related lending/credit tools (for example: Party Central, I‑Vault, DealWorks, CRRT).
- Experience creating or maintaining exception reporting and operational metrics/KPIs.
- Experience supporting control testing, audit readiness, or operational risk initiatives.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Access.
- Experience partnering with technology teams to drive process and system improvements.
