Join the Emerging Growth Segments team to lead the Consumer Banking strategy to optimize risk and profitability for Secure Banking – Chase’s simple, low-fee checking account for customers seeking a no-surprises banking solution. Situated within the Lower Mass segment, the team manages the Secure Banking deposit product end-to-end: shaping features and value proposition, promoting acquisition through marketing and field tactics, managing the P&L, and running core operations.
As a Product Manger Senior, Vice President for Profitability & Risk, you will have the critical role of ensuring Secure Banking remains both competitive in market and inclusive for customers. Your day-to-day work will include partnering closely with Finance & Risk and directly affect the product P&L, driving improvements in profitability through thoughtful root cause analysis and data-driven decision-making. You will work in a startup-like culture and often wear multiple hats – pulling levers across strategy, innovation, analytics, and more to deliver our strategic objectives. Job responsibilities
- Assess customer needs and risk profiles to inform product enhancements, marketing approaches, and feature availability
- Leverage data insights to mitigate fraud losses while keeping customer experience and growth top of mind
- Closely track key P&L and customer experience metrics; collaborate with Fraud/Risk to anticipate and address impacts of their tactics on product performance
- Explore potential revenue-generating opportunities; support broader team priorities, such as delivering customer experience product fixes, handling core run-the-business projects, or driving select Lower Mass segment workstreams, as needed
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated understanding of P&L drivers and customer economics
- Demonstrated success driving collaboration and delivering measurable business outcomes
- Proven ability to balance strategic vision with practical execution, keeping customer needs at the forefront
- Superior program management, problem-solving, and time management skills. Able to spot gaps/opportunities, perform well in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to translate complex data and insights into clear strategic direction and executive-level communication.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills; experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders
- Energized to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Passion for ensuring access to safe, affordable banking products for those who are underbanked or new to banking
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
