Key Responsibilities

  • Team leadership (3 FTE): Lead, coach, and develop a local technology team; set clear goals, manage performance, and build a strong engineering and controls culture.
  • Strategy-to-execution: Convert Markets and Payments business priorities in Argentina into an executable technology roadmap with clear milestones, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
  • Stakeholder influence: Partner with senior stakeholders across Markets and Payments to shape priorities, align trade-offs, and drive decisions across regional/global technology teams.
  • Delivery governance: Own delivery planning and execution for Argentina-related initiatives; track progress, manage risks/issues, and provide concise status reporting and escalation.
  • Production reliability: Ensure stability and resilience of critical systems supporting Markets/Payments; lead incident management, problem management, and root-cause remediation.
  • Risk, controls, and security-by-design: Ensure adherence to required controls across SDLC, change management, access, data handling, audit readiness, and remediation of findings.
  • Modern engineering practices: Drive CI/CD maturity, automated testing, observability, and standardization; reduce manual processes and improve deployment quality.
  • Vendor and third-party oversight: Manage local vendor delivery/service performance aligned to operational and control expectations.
  • Regulatory and local readiness: Support requirements driven by Argentina-specific regulatory, operational, and business needs, coordinating with compliance/control partners.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technology roles, including ownership of end-to-end delivery and production operations for business-critical systems.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience (direct management) and ability to lead small teams with high impact.
  • Strong experience influencing stakeholders and driving execution across matrixed organizations (regional/global teams and multiple functions).
  • Proven track record operating in controlled / regulated environments with strong risk and governance expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to present trade-offs and recommendations to senior business and technology leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain exposure to payments, cash management, markets technology, or transaction processing platforms.
  • Experience with modern delivery stacks (CI/CD, automated testing), observability, resiliency engineering and AI.
  • Experience supporting local country requirements (e.g., regulatory reporting, data residency, operational constraints) in partnership with control functions.
  • English/Spanish fluency (Portuguese a plus), comfortable operating in global forums.
