Help strengthen governance oversight across Australia and New Zealand by turning complex inputs into clear, decision-ready reporting. Partner with stakeholders across the business and control functions to ensure actions, issues, and regulatory commitments are tracked, escalated, and closed with discipline.

As an Associate in Location Control Management supporting all Lines of Business and Corporate Functions across Australia and New Zealand, you will translate governance oversight needs into reliable reporting and materials for location forums. You will build exposure to senior stakeholders and learn how governance oversight supports implementation of the Firm’s risk management framework. You will strengthen analytical judgement, communication, and project management skills through regulatory change reporting and structured follow-up. You will also apply tools such as Teams and Copilot/LLMs to improve drafting, tracking, and knowledge management.

Job responsibilities

  • Compile and synthesize inputs (controls, regulatory, audit, compliance, and business) into concise oversight reporting and decision-ready materials.
  • Prepare agendas, packs, minutes, action logs, and document repositories to support location governance forums.
  • Track actions, risks, issues, and decisions (RAID), including owners and due dates, and support timely follow-up and closure.
  • Support regulatory change project management and reporting, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, status reporting, and documentation of outcomes.
  • Maintain evidence and records for governance and regulatory change reporting, including approvals and audit trails, in line with documentation standards.
  • Use tools such as Teams and Copilot/LLMs to streamline drafting, tracking, and knowledge management in line with Firm expectations.
  • Partner with risk, audit, compliance, operations, and technology stakeholders to support transparency, consistency, and effective governance.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with controls, regulatory, audit, or compliance, including exposure to governance and oversight reporting in a regulated environment.
  • Experience coordinating and reporting on change initiatives, including tracking status, actions, risks, and issues.
  • Risk and control mindset, with the ability to identify key themes and implications for oversight.
  • Demonstrated analytical judgement and critical thinking, including synthesizing complex inputs into clear narratives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including producing executive-ready materials.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills, including influencing without authority and working across stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and take on new roles or responsibilities.
  • Digital fluency and innovation mindset, including effective use of Teams and Copilot/LLMs (or similar) to improve workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through in tracking actions, deadlines, and records.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience supporting governance forums, including preparing packs, minutes, action logs, and maintaining governance repositories.
  • Experience in regulated financial services in Australia and/or New Zealand.
  • Successful track record in an equivalent role at another company.
  • Specific product or technology specialization relevant to governance, reporting, or analytics.
  • Internal framework or system knowledge, including familiarity with internal risk management frameworks, governance processes, and relevant systems.
  • Experience improving reporting or governance routines (e.g., templates, cadence, or process enhancements).
