This is a Managing Director role based in New York, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of Asset Management.

As the Head of F&BM within our Asset Management Americas Client team, you will lead a team across New York, Columbus, and Brazil, with matrix oversight for team members in India, and supports all aspects of the Americas Client organization. Given the scale, complexity, and heightened regulatory and controls focus, the position drives a broad agenda across finance, sales management enablement, technology prioritization, and governance to support business growth and operational excellence.

Job responsibilities

  • Partner with the Head of Americas Client and the Americas Client Management Team to run the business, including strategic growth initiatives, business objectives, and regular business reviews.
  • Drive the finance agenda for the group, including budgeting, forecasting, capital management, expense management, efficiency initiatives, and headcount planning.
  • Enhance internal sales management processes, including incentives, metrics, scorecards, and compensation frameworks.
  • Own the technology agenda and prioritization in partnership with sales stakeholders, product owners, and the technology organization.
  • Manage the controls framework, including establishing policies and procedures and coordinating with Control Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and regulators.
  • Lead real estate strategy and logistics, including space planning to support long-term growth.
  • Oversee vendor relationships in close partnership with Sourcing and Legal.
  • Run and coordinate key cross-business initiatives (e.g., sales territory changes, new product launches, client roadshows).
  • Represent Americas Client in internal forums (e.g., board meetings, technology prioritization discussions, governance/control forums) and in regulatory initiatives across JPMAM.
  • Act as a leader, culture-carrier, and mentor across the broader AWM Finance & Business Management organization.
  • Execute ad hoc initiatives as business needs arise.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in financial services and/or strategy; knowledge of Asset Management clients, products, and systems strongly preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Great project management and strategic planning capabilities, including influencing and teamwork skills.
  • Great oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to “tell the story.”

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data; high attention to detail.
  • Mature, independent, highly organized, and self-motivated; strong team orientation.
  • BA/BS degree required.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • MBA strongly preferred.
  • Financial qualification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CIMA) strongly preferred.
