As an HR Business Advisor in our HR organization, you will provide support to senior managers on core HR activities and help senior managers engage with others in HR and with specialists to bring resolution to their HR-related matters.

Job responsibilities

  • Work closely with geographically diverse HR teams to help deliver a cohesive regional agenda. Work with HR Centre of Excellence (COE) groups to advise and facilitate people processes across multiple disciplines (recruitment, compensation, benefits, mobility, etc.). Partner with line of business/functional HR Business advisors as needed
  • Liaise with local labour advisors, internal legal department and Employee Relations (ER) Center of Excellence teams to resolve managers’ and employees’ matters, adapt new regulations, litigations and warnings, etc.
  • Support year-end compensation process by ensuring that baselines are accurate (including joiners, leavers, transfers), providing guidance on incentive compensation and salary planning as appropriate and supporting managers through compensation decisions
  • Support the performance cycle by partnering with leaders on an as-needed basis to answer performance questions, issues and processes, supporting and providing guidance on the promotion process
  • Support the implementation of people agenda initiatives and efforts for a business area and the location. Provide day-to-day advice on human capital matters
  • Work with management information systems (MIS) and reporting to understand trends and outliers, and facilitate fact based, metrics driven client decisions
  • Analyze processes, data and trends to make recommendations to management team for continuous improvement. Ensure appropriate controls are in place and managed effectively for all critical HR processes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous HR Business Advisor experience required
  • Strong working experience within a hybrid Human Resource structure using centralized and decentralized functions, leveraging resources across functions and locations
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Labour law, HR regulations and HR practices prior exposure. Knowledge of Swiss specifics. Strong control and risk culture with an ability to ensure compliance with legal requirements, to address and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Knowledge of full range of people practices: goal setting, performance assessment and improvement, compensation practices, workforce planning, reductions in force, manager development
  • Proven track record in objectively coaching employees and management through complex, difficult issues and mitigating risks
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with business leaders. Ability to work collaboratively and to develop strong, positive working relationships
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and technical skills that enable individual to leverage data to create HR strategies that support and drive business results. Technically proficient in MS Office Suite – including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to navigate a global matrix organization and partner on issues across HR and the business
  • Exceptional judgment, demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing alternative solutions in a fast paced environment. Ability to respond to changing needs and priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • German a plus.
