As a Senior Associate in the Global Real Estate Accounting team, you will play a key role in the month-end financial close and reporting process. You will help ensure the accuracy and completeness of our real estate accounting, working closely with colleagues across the globe. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment that values your ideas and encourages continuous improvement. Job responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume and diverse portfolio of lease accounting work, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 and IFRS 16.
  • Establish, modify, and review lease accounting schedules for completeness and accuracy.
  • Lead month-end close activities, including developing or reviewing accrual estimates and posting journal entries.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation and certification of balance sheet accounts.
  • Investigate and explain monthly balance sheet, income statement, and general ledger account variances.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and analysis across Global Real Estate.
  • Identify exceptions to standards, determine underlying causes, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain relationships with finance, operations, and Line of Business contacts.
  • Contribute to process improvements and innovative solutions within the team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in accounting or finance with automated financial systems (SAP) and worksheet modeling tools (Excel).
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with a proven track record of execution.
  • Attention to detail and a structured, process-oriented mindset.
  • Initiative and ability to take ownership, work independently, and contribute to the team.
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to change, and succeed in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Public accounting or large corporate experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • VBA or programming skills.
  • ACCA or CGMA certification.
