Global Supplier Services (GSS) organization brings together Category Sourcing, Third Party Oversight, Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Diversity, and Customer Experience into one team. This group of more than 900 employees (in 11 countries) manages the source-to-pay processes for JPMorgan Chase in a manner that mitigates supplier-related Risks, enhances supplier performance, and manages supplier expenses, while providing the firm an optimal customer experience. As a Global Sourcing Category Manager-Marketing – Vice President, in Global Supplier Services, you will lead the development of long term category sourcing strategy plans, including the sourcing, contracting and execution for third party supplier spend across JPMorgan Chases’ Lines of Business 'LOB' for various Non-Technology spend categories with the Marketing spend areas. You will be an experienced sourcing manager who will focus on direct media products and services (i.e., without agencies), and who will be able to develop relationships within the lines of business and coordinate with sourcing leads in globally.


Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted collaborative relationships with Business and Functional Managers, acting as a strategic advisor on sourcing options, supplier strategies, and market insights, while anticipating client needs.

  • Lead the development and implementation of multi‑year category strategies that span multiple lines of business and support enterprise priorities.

  • Own and execute end‑to‑end strategic sourcing initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to define requirements and scope sourcing transactions.

  • Lead and expedite vendor selection and purchasing decisions through competitive bid processes and strategic sourcing tools and best practices.

  • Identify, qualify, and conduct comprehensive due diligence on suppliers, ensuring alignment with JPMC’s risk, compliance, and business requirements.

  • Develop and maintain vendor intelligence and supplier profiles, producing qualitative assessments to inform selection, negotiation, and ongoing management decisions in compliance with all policy and procedural guidelines.

  • Evaluate supplier proposals and present clear, data‑driven sourcing recommendations that balance cost, risk, service quality, and strategic fit.

  • Negotiate, manage, and monitor vendor agreements that protect JPMC’s commercial, operational, and risk interests through socialization, approval and execution of established commercial contract terms.

  • Partner with Legal, Risk, Finance, and regional sourcing teams to successfully complete complex negotiations and enterprise initiatives.
  • Manage category and understand supplier spend, conducting in‑depth cost and spend analysis to deliver savings, reduce total cost of ownership, and mitigate third‑party risk.
  • Deliver sourcing and category projects that lower the firm’s total spend and supply risk, while driving supplier performance and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (e.g., business, finance, economics, marketing, communications)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in managing commodity or spend category spend (non-tech and some tech)
  • Adept at general use of generative AI/LLMs in everyday work
  • Direct experience working with Marketing spend categories (especially demand-side platforms (DSPs), social media platforms and/or affiliates)
  • Direct experience working with large marketing technology companies (e.g., SEO providers).
  • Interpersonal: ability to lead and influence execute level stakeholders
  • Thought Leadership: determination to drive breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement; sets a personal example
  • Market Research: ability to conduct market/industry/supplier analysis and synthesize data into a consumable format
  • Legal Acumen: strong understanding and proven experience in executing and amending complex legal Master Agreements and commercial agreements with SLAs; strategic negotiation ability
  • Change Management: experience and proven ability to drive change with management direction but without having to be prescribed to do so
  • Project Management: ability to develop, plan and execute projects and create remediation plans and actions with timely updates to management

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • MBA
  • Communication Skills: ability to communicate effectively with internal sourcing and client stakeholders
  • Cost Modeling: ability to understand value streams, cost drivers and how to break down cost structures (e.g., CPMs)
  • Business Strategy Alignment: ability to understand business strategy and build plans to support it
  • Risk Management: knowledge of business risk factors and business savvy to minimize risk appropriately and communicate acceptance of risk factors when required.
  • Technology Acumen: advanced proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint) as well as SAP Ariba suite.
  • Sourcing Methodology: strong knowledge of the key aspects of the RFI/RFP/RFQ and five step sourcing process
