As an Executive Director on the Payments Network Strategy team within the Consumer & Community Bank (CCB), you will drive the strategic vision and industry advocacy for Realtime Rails, Stablecoins, Cross-border, and Resiliency initiatives. The scope of this role spans advocacy and engagement with The Clearing House, the Federal Reserve, SWIFT, as well as other financials institutions, trade associations, and industry stakeholders impacting the next generation of payments for consumers and small businesses.

As a leader on this team, you will oversee the development and execution of Retail and Small Business strategies where these capabilities come into play, manage key partnerships, and ensure effective collaboration across JP Morgan Chase. You will partner closely with senior executives and functional leaders across the retail and commercial bank, support Payments Network Strategy broadly and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver on the firm’s most critical priorities.

The primary goal of the Payments Network Strategy team is to deliver customer value through broad-based advocacy to influence the strategic direction of the payments industry in a rapidly evolving payments ecosystem.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement multi-year strategic plans and lead key advocacy initiatives for payments products, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Manage and set the agenda for priorities with The Clearing House, the Federal Reserve, SWIFT, partner with other retail and commercial bank product and advocacy leads on the integration and use of rails, actively engage with peer banks and other stakeholders.
  • Identify, develop, and negotiate strategic partnerships that support and deliver customer value.
  • Collaborate with key functional partners—including business, legal, compliance, controls, risk, and finance—to support and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team to drive activity and deliver results.
  • Provide regular updates and alternative analyses to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Actively drive priority advocacy initiatives, whether internal or external.
  • Craft and deliver executive communications and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to the Payments & Card Strategy and Advocacy teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with a strong background in payments and/or financial services.
