As Head of Compliance within PT JPMorgan Sekuritas Indonesia, you will lead our local compliance program and help us uphold high standards of integrity as we grow. You will partner with senior leaders and the board to deliver risk-based oversight, monitoring, testing, and clear reporting, while ensuring our policies and controls meet Indonesian regulatory requirements. You will advise on anti-money laundering, know your customer, sanctions, client onboarding, outsourcing, and data privacy, and serve as a key contact for regulators and market authorities. You will also coordinate regulatory audits and investigations, support approvals for new products and activities, and strengthen operational risk identification, incident learning, and remediation across the firm.

Job responsibilities

  • Report to the Country Head of Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk at JPMorganChase, and serve as a Board member of PT JPMSI with access needed to discharge compliance responsibilities.

  • Develop, lead, and be accountable for the execution of the Compliance program across the firm, including product coverage, senior management reporting, monitoring/surveillance, and compliance testing.

  • Ensure effective implementation of the Compliance function in accordance with applicable regulations issued by regulators and relevant JPMorgan Chase firmwide policies, standards, and internal control requirements.

  • Provide advice and oversight on the implementation of local AML/KYC/sanctions/client onboarding requirements across the firm, and act as a primary point of contact for local regulators and market authorities, including OJK and IDX and other relevant regulators. Oversee regulatory reporting obligations related to fraud/suspicious matters (as applicable), and a primary coordinator for regulatory audits, inspections, and investigations impacting the firm, including coordinating responses, evidence production, remediation tracking, and matters relating to statutory reporting and lodgment.

  • Provide input to regulatory consultative papers and proposed rule amendments, advising the business on potential impacts and appropriately representing JPMorgan Chase views to regulators and relevant industry groups.

  • Advise the business and regional compliance on regulatory developments, assist in building processes and controls to meet new and existing requirements, and review the effectiveness of those controls.

  • Support the business in obtaining regulatory approvals, including (but not limited to) approvals for new products/activities, regulatory licenses, new systems, and outsourcing arrangements.

  • Advise the business on outsourcing/offshoring initiatives, data privacy requirements, and required controls and broader control-related risk issues.

  • Deliver compliance training as required and represent JPMorganChase through participation in local compliance networks and industry discussions.

  • Participate in local governance and control forums and provide independent oversight of operational risk matters within second-line scope across businesses and functions in the location.

  • Coordinate and provide location subject matter expertise for operational risk within second-line scope, and partner with the business on operational risk identification, assessment, incident learnings, and remediation activities.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, or another relevant discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Compliance, with relevant experience in securities companies and/or financial institutions in Indonesia; strong understanding of capital markets business processes (brokerage and underwriting).

  • Holds an individual Securities Company Representative license (“izin wakil Perusahaan Efek”), e.g., WPPE and/or WPEE, as relevant to the assigned scope.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Indonesian regulators and relevant industry stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with sound judgment, strong stakeholder management, and clear written communication.
