Embark on your journey as a Trade Lifecycle Manager I where you'll be at the forefront of managing the pre- and post-trading life cycle across all asset classes. Your role will be crucial in ensuring accurate cash movements and proper funding coordination, leveraging your expertise to drive process improvements and ensure project success.

As a Trade Lifecycle Manager I within JPMorganChase, you will play a pivotal role in managing the operations of the pre- and post-trading life cycle across all asset classes. Your expertise in cash movements, funding for managed demand deposit accounts, and coordination with other business lines will ensure proper funding and smooth operations. You will leverage your broad knowledge of trade lifecycle principles and practices to resolve short-term problems, make non-routine decisions, and propose improvements to current working methods. Your advanced listening and questioning skills, combined with your proficiency in internal stakeholder management and presentation skills, will enable you to establish productive relationships and effectively communicate with various teams. Your role will also involve leading process improvement initiatives, applying automation technologies, and managing projects, all while maintaining a keen awareness of market product knowledge and industry regulations.

Job responsibilities
  • Review of overall Reconciliations process across various stakeholder groups, identify gaps, provide solution and partner to reach the ideal state.
  • Senior Stakeholder Management by providing deeper insight on the health of the Reconciliations supported by various key performance indicators and assist in resolving issues.
  • Partner with stakeholders to assist in fixing the reconciliations related operating model issues, investigating and resolving aged breaks, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
  • Analyze data to support the preparation and updating of governance decks for various Reconciliations Forums with key stakeholders and LOB leads
  • Collaborate with Ops and stakeholders to gather, validate, and interpret data required for governance reporting.
  • Identify potential matches related to aged breaks, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing operational risk.
  • Collaborate with Operations to review and assess matches for automation opportunities, aiming to streamline processes and improve efficiency through enhancing the systemic logic and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Develop and implement efficient and standardized workflows within the team as well as various points of hand offs
  • Relationship management with Clients (including JPM partner locations) by means of service delivery and proactive approach towards client requirements
  • Manage queries related to Reconciliations Tool access and coordinating with Technology and Operations in resolving access related issues.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • MBA/Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Minimum 8 years of Reconciliation/Accounting industry experience with a minimum of three years in accounting
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • End-to-end reconciliations ownership: ability to run daily/month-end cycles—data ingestion, matching, exception identification, investigation, resolution, and sign-off.
  • Strong accounting & product knowledge: understanding of cash vs. position, balances vs. activity, accruals, fees/expenses, and how breaks flow through the ledger/sub-ledgers.
  • Break management expertise: categorize breaks (timing, static data, booking, FX/valuation, corporate actions, failed settlements, fee disputes), apply root-cause analysis, and prevent recurrence.
  • Control mindset: design and operate controls (tolerance thresholds, aging, escalation triggers, maker-checker, evidence retention).
  • Operational risk awareness: identify control gaps, assess severity/impact, document risk acceptance where needed, and drive remediation.
  • Policy/procedure adherence: strong discipline on SOPs, control standards, runbooks, record retention, and issue documentation.
  • Issue management: log, track, and close items with measurable outcomes (aging reduction, defect rate reduction, upstream fixes).
