Join our Reconciliations Utility team and help drive operational excellence in Global Fund Services. Bring your expertise to lead a high-performing team focused on quality, controls, and timely delivery. You will play a key role in strengthening exception management, maintaining audit readiness, and developing team capability.

As a Team Leader in the Reconciliations Utility on the Global Fund Services team, you will lead day-to-day delivery and ensure timely completion of core activities. You will drive exception resolution, quality checks, and audit readiness while keeping procedures current and controls embedded. You will support team learning and development and help build strong internal subject matter expertise. You will promote a collaborative team environment and uphold high performance standards.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead completion of daily reconciliations deliverables, ensuring accuracy and on-time execution.
  • Drive timely investigation and resolution of exceptions with Operational Risk Management and management partners.
  • Perform quality test checks to validate operational accuracy and control adherence.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures, ensuring documentation remains current and accessible.
  • Ensure audit readiness by supporting compliance activities and responding to audit requests as needed.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and exception management outcomes.
  • Provide oversight of exception management standards, ensuring consistent, high-quality handling.
  • Coach and develop team members to ensure competency and consistent performance.
  • Plan, encourage, and lead learning and development sessions to strengthen team capability.
  • Identify and develop training champions and subject matter experts within the team.
  • Foster communication, teamwork, morale, and professional discipline across the team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Chartered Accountant with 2 years of experience in the financial services industry, or Bachelor of Commerce with 4 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong control orientation.
  • Strong analytical skills with a numerate and structured approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Client-focused mindset with strong ownership and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in PC software for document and worksheet preparation (e.g., spreadsheets and presentations).
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to use initiative, ask questions, and challenge issues constructively to improve outcomes.
  • Flexibility to work holidays or extended hours during high-volume periods as required.
  • “Can do” attitude with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior experience leading reconciliations teams or performing quality/control checks in an operations environment.
