As a Cash Operations Associate in Payments Operations, you will support the accurate and timely movement of funds across products, currencies, and borders. You will investigate and resolve payment exceptions, apply controls to protect against fraud and risk, and use data to identify and fix recurring issues. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to improve processes and maintain high service standards.
Job responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve payment exceptions, applying sound judgement to protect the integrity of financial and operational processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely fund transfers across products, currencies, and cross-border payment flows.
- Use data analysis to identify root causes of payment issues and recommend practical fixes.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and client experience.
- Apply fraud prevention and cybersecurity controls to protect payment systems and client information.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Coach and support junior team members, serving as an escalation point when needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor Degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cross-border payments and foreign exchange operations, including a strong understanding of foreign exchange policy.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate complex payment issues and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Good understanding of payment systems and how funds move across products and borders.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
- Familiarity with process improvement approaches and a drive to make operations run better.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of ISO or SWIFT message processing or management.
- Experience in cash or treasury operations with a strong controls background.
- Understanding of accounting principles and end-to-end money movement processes.
