As a Reference Data Team Lead in the Reference Data team, you will play a critical role in managing instrument reference data operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of critical data used across the firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the reference data team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of instrument data
- Follow the global operating model to effectively support instrument requirements across securities services and markets businesses
- Analyze data to identify gaps and improve quality across key reference data attributes for multiple asset classes
- Collaborate with teams responsible for data creation, maintenance, and exception management on core platforms
- Respond to stakeholder queries and subscriber requests with accuracy and professionalism
- Ensure robust controls are implemented to minimize risk and maintain data integrity
- Partner with business and product teams to define requirements and embed strong data quality standards into processes
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of instrument data control frameworks
- Support change initiatives, product releases, and ongoing transformation projects
- Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Degree in Finance, Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in financial services operations with exposure to instrument reference data
- Strong understanding of financial instruments such as fixed income, equity, or derivatives
- Knowledge of securities operations and data lifecycle processes
- Experience working with market data providers such as Bloomberg, ICE, Euroclear, or Refinitiv
- Strong data analysis skills, including experience with SQL or data quality tools
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with business and product stakeholders
- Experience working in a global operating environment with flexibility for EMEA time zone
