As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Network Services team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing the infrastructure platforms that support our global operations. You will drive technical strategy, mentor fellow engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver highly available, secure, and performant systems. Your expertise will directly influence how we scale our technology to meet evolving business demands.

In this role, you will also act as the Connectivity Service Delivery Manager for the Americas region, leading end-to-end delivery of network and connectivity services. You will work with business stakeholders, internal delivery and engineering teams, and external telecom providers to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to engineering standards.

Job responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, resilient infrastructure architectures that support business-critical applications and services.
  • Oversee service delivery for all connectivity projects across the Americas, ensuring solutions are implemented on time, within budget and to defined quality standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical infrastructure solutions.
  • Coordinate with telecom service providers, vendors, and internal engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle – from design to acceptance testing and handover to operations. Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, driving performance against SLAs and service improvement plans.
  • Track project progress, identify risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure seamless delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. Manage change control, cost governance, and documentation across all connectivity projects.
  • Support regional and global network strategy execution, contributing to process improvements and service optimization initiatives.
  • Contribute to capacity planning, data analytics and reporting, transforming delivery data into actionable insights for senior management.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies to continuously improve platform reliability and performance.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis, option evaluation, and design documentation, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
  • Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, storage, and networking services.
  • Proven experience in project or service delivery management is required.
  • Deep knowledge of networking and telecommunications technologies (Layers 0-3), including dark fiber, DWDM, Ethernet, IP-VPN, DIA, broadband, cellular and satellite connectivity.
  • Experience working with telecom service providers and managed service providers, including contract and SLA oversight.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across business and technical domains.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent project across geographies.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience within a global financial services or regulated enterprise environment is preferred.
  • Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) for workflow, documentation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with cloud connectivity and hybrid architectures.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
  • Data analytical skills – ability to interrogate, model and visualise large datasets to identify trends, cost drivers, or delivery risks.
  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
