Job summary
As a Data Analyst and Reporting Analyst in the Service Desk Team within J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions, you will turn large, complex datasets into accurate reporting and actionable insights that support equity compensation clients and internal stakeholders. You will partner across teams to define reporting needs, improve data quality, and deliver dashboards and analyses that are easy to understand and trusted for decision-making. You will also help streamline recurring reporting through automation and strong documentation, so we can scale service quality with consistency.
Job responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to support client and business objectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with business teams to translate reporting requirements into clear, deliverable solutions.
- Validate, clean, and reconcile data to ensure integrity, accuracy, and repeatability of outputs.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies and communicate implications and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Automate recurring reporting workflows to reduce manual effort and improve turnaround time.
- Document data sources, methodologies, definitions, and reporting procedures to support transparency and auditability.
- Deliver timely, high-quality analysis for ad hoc requests, incidents, and client-driven needs.
- Contribute to data governance practices and support standards for data quality and reporting controls.
- Stay current on emerging practices in analytics, reporting, and visualization to continuously improve solutions.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by providing data-driven insights aligned to strategic priorities.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 2 years of experience in a data analyst, reporting analyst, or similar analytics role.
- Hands-on experience collecting, cleaning, validating, and analyzing large datasets.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and at least one data visualization tool (such as Python, Alteryx, Tableau, or Power BI).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation and analysis functions.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including building clear, stakeholder-ready presentations.
- Experience supporting extract, transform, and load processes for reporting and analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain insights to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience supporting customer service teams and client-facing operational workflows.
- Experience with R or other programming languages used for data analysis.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and application programming interface connections (such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Salesforce).
- Experience in financial services and/or equity compensation management.
- Knowledge of Jira and Atlassian tools for work tracking and collaboration.
- Experience creating and delivering training and end-user support materials for data tools and reporting best practice
