Global Credit Trading & Syndicate - Primary CLO Structuring & Origination - Associate or Vice President

As an Associate or Vice Presidnet in Global Credit Trading & Syndicate, you will provide support to Primary CLO Structuring/Origination & CLO Syndicate as JPMorgan’s role as a placement agent for Primary CLO transactions. You will get a chance to utilise your skills and expertise by participating in all aspects of deal execution including portfolio analysis, capital structure tranching /rating, documentation, negotiation and marketing. You will have the opportunity to leverage your skills and expertise by engaging in all facets of deal execution, including portfolio analysis, capital structure tranching/rating, documentation, negotiation, and marketing.
Job responsibilities:
- Interact with CLO Issuers, Senior Execution team members, Syndicate, Sales, Legal Counsel, Rating Agencies and Investors throughout all phases of the deal
- Participate in all aspects of deal execution including portfolio analysis, capital structure tranching /rating, documentation, negotiation and marketing
- Develop knowledge of analytic tools and models required to size transactions for the rating agencies;
- (Associates) modelling of CLO transactions for the rating agencies, issuer and investor clients in the various CLO modelling tools
- Monitor and prepare materials to update senior bankers and marketers with information on the current market, focusing on asset and liability yields, issuance levels, and structural features;
- Create marketing materials for CLO Issuer clients
- Participate in conference and investor marketing ‘road show’ meetings and scheduling
- Track and monitor the desk’s P&L and reconcile with finance teams who support the desk
- Prepare materials for internal meetings and approvals
- Assist in the preparation/completion of investor requests
- Monitor warehouse exposure
- Liaise with Middle Office, Finance, and Technology teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Extensive in financial markets
- You have previous experience in CLOs or structured finance/ABS
- You demonstrate high proficiency in CLO market software and technology (CDOEdge; Cashflow Evaluator; Intex Dealmaker)
- You have high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point
- You demonstrate a combination of strong analytical, quantitative and written and oral communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- You demonstrate VBA/programming skills
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
