Job Description

As a Commercial & Investment Bank Markets (Credit Markets & SPG) – Audit Manager within the JPMorgan Internal Audit team based in Paris, you will you will lead audit assignments, perform and document audit testing, partner closely with global Audit colleagues and business stakeholders, and use judgment to strengthen internal controls. You will be responsible for assisting with ongoing risk assessment, control identification, audit execution and continuous monitoring activities across CIB Markets mainly focusing on Credit Markets & SPG business.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist or lead audit engagements covering CIB Markets Credit Markets & SPG activities, including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting, and follow-up and verification of issue closure while ensuring audits are completed timely and within budget.
  • Work closely with global Audit colleagues in the assessment of risks and controls, early identification of emerging control issues and reporting them timely to Audit management and business stakeholders.
  • Documenting the results of audit work comprehensively and concisely
  • Partner with stakeholders, business management, other control groups (i.e., risk management, compliance, legal), external auditors, and regulators establishing strong working relationships while maintaining independence.
  • Finalize audit findings and use judgment to provide an overall opinion on the control environment through developing recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
  • Take ownership of self-development, including stretch assignments, to prepare for greater responsibilities and career growth, and take initiative to seek out opportunities for continued learning.
  • Demonstrate ability to modernize audit testing using advanced technology and data-driven methods to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency across CIB Markets audits.
  • Stay current with evolving industry and regulatory changes, and analyse impact to business strategies, objectives, processes, and compliance.
  • Recognize the confidential nature of Internal Audit communications and access to information; you must be disciplined in protecting the confidentiality and security of information in accordance with firm policy.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Min 7+years of proven internal or external auditing experience, or relevant business experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (or relevant financial services experience) required.
  • Ability to lead audits and execute audit work remotely, work effectively within a matrix organization, manage multiple projects and participate in audit assignments in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, issue/impact analysis and executive report preparation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required with ability to present complex and sensitive issues to senior management.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and works well individually and in teams, shares information, supports colleagues and encourages participation.
  • Flexible to changing business priorities and able to multitask.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Experience with internal audit methodology and applying concepts in audit delivery and execution.
  • Experience of and exposure to CIB Markets Credit Markets & SPG business.
  • Familiarity with European financial regulations.
  • Knowledge of and experience in automated auditing tools.

  • Professional certifications (CIA, CFIRS, etc.) preferred.
