As a Head Office Accounting (HOA) Analyst in the Bank Controller, Accounting Policy and Reporting organization, you will spend each day supporting the broader Legal Entity Controllers function by executing Head Office (Parent & Bank) accounting activities. You will be responsible for preparing and processing SAP entries for cash settlements, processing wire transactions and dividend payments, monitoring daily cash movements, performing trend analysis, and preparing schedules that support Legal Entity Controller regulatory requirements.

Our Bank Controllers, Accounting Policy, and Reporting teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including Legal Entity Controller (LEC) oversight for JPMorganChase Bank N.A. (Lead Bank), JPMorgan Chase & Co (Parent Co), and JPMorgan Chase Holdings LLC (JPMCH); ongoing capital monitoring and adequacy; firmwide legal entity strategy and simplification; and financial forecasting, reporting, and capital monitoring for the Consolidated Lead Bank (JPMCB).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply core accounting understanding to the financial reporting
  • Performing the month-end and quarter-end close by preparing Head Office Accounting journal entries and accurately parking in the SAP system
  • General ledger reconciling of data from the firm’s ledger and other sub ledger systems and attesting to the accounts as legal entity controller
  • Performing monthly foreign exchange trade-out (FXTO) process by delivering relevant entries and performing reclass & reconciliation of FX accounts
  • Analyzing and reporting monthly representative offices expenses and summary reporting
  • Preparing and delivering financial reports and schedules to reports produced during month-end/ quarter-end
  • Maintain and ensure data integrity of reports prepared, related user tools, underlying data and update Standard Operating Procedures
  • Participate and handle new migrations of accounts, cost centers and any incremental activities
  • Learn new efficiency tools/ Intelligent solutions and enhance the operating models


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 2 years of accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Strong accounting understanding
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or a Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills ability to articulate needs and interface with peers, cross LOB teams and management
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and knowledge of ERP Tools such as SAP
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to the team objectives
  • Ability to identify and communicate issues in a timely manner with a controls mindset
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Open to working in EMEA shift (1:30 PM to 10:30 PM) and should be able to deliver to tight deadlines. Occasional stretch of 2-3 hrs. during quarter ends
  • Additional – knowledge of business intelligent tools like - Alteryx, Tableau, Python would be beneficial
