The Product Delivery Manager is responsible for orchestrating product governance and delivery alignment across the product portfolio. This leader owns the operating cadence and Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) management that turns product priorities into clear outcomes, milestones, and measurable delivery progress.

Key responsibilities

Product governance & forums (Product Cabinet)

  • Coordinate executive product forums and leadership syncs (agenda, pre-reads, facilitation, decision capture, and follow-through).
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment on priorities, sequencing, dependencies, and trade-offs; drive timely decisions.

PDLC management (end-to-end)

  • Define, standardize, and continuously improve PDLC stages, gates, and required artifacts.
  • Monitor adherence to PDLC expectations; identify gaps, risks, and process bottlenecks; drive remediation.
  • Establish clear entry/exit criteria for each stage and ensure audit-ready documentation where applicable.

Strategic planning & investment translation

  • Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and portfolio prioritization.
  • Translate executive priorities into actionable outcomes, milestones, roadmaps, and investment asks (capacity/budget), with clear success metrics.

Executive communications & announcements

  • Craft executive-ready updates and internal announcements that drive alignment, awareness, and adoption.
  • Develop concise narratives that connect strategy to delivery, outcomes, and customer/employee impact.

Executive status reporting & delivery unblocking

  • Provide structured executive status reporting (progress, risks, decisions needed, dependencies, and next steps).
  • Run recurring status cadences; convert updates into action plans; track actions to closure.
  • Surface blockers early, facilitate resolution, and drive accountability across stakeholders.

Success measures (examples)

  • PDLC compliance and quality of artifacts at each gate; reduced rework and cycle time.
  • Clear, timely executive decisions with documented rationale and follow-through.
  • On-time delivery against milestones; risks surfaced early with mitigations in motion.
  • Improved leadership visibility, alignment, and adoption of product initiatives.

Required qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of product management, product operations, portfolio/program leadership, or equivalent experience in complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and running lifecycle governance (PDLC/SDLC), stage gates, and artifacts across multiple teams.
  • Strong executive presence: ability to synthesize ambiguity into clear narratives, decisions, and action plans.
  • Proven facilitation skills for senior leadership forums; ability to drive alignment across product, technology, design, data, operations, and risk/control partners.
  • Excellent written communication skills (exec updates, announcements, pre-reads, and status reporting).
  • Strong operational rigor: cadence management, action tracking, dependency/risk management, and continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience operating in regulated environments and partnering closely with risk, compliance, legal, and controls.
  • Experience with portfolio prioritization frameworks (OKRs, outcomes-based roadmaps, capacity/investment planning).
  • Familiarity with tooling used for roadmap/status/decision tracking (e.g., Jira/Confluence and presentation artifacts), without being tool-dependent.
