Key responsibilities
Core functional responsibilities and expectations include (but are not limited to):
- Client service & ownership
- Partner closely with the Client Service / Middle Office team to understand client needs and trade issues.
- Provide timely, accurate follow-up and maintain proactive communication to manage expectations.
- Take end-to-end ownership of exceptions through resolution, ensuring a strong client experience and accountability.
- Fail / unmatched trade management
- Monitor and manage unmatched and failing trades, driving resolution within agreed timelines.
- Investigate breaks by identifying root causes, recurring patterns and upstream/downstream process gaps.
- Cross-functional coordination
- Serve as a liaison across Middle Office, Settlements, Technology and Senior Management to ensure the best outcome for the client, team, and firm.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately, providing clear context, impacts, and proposed next steps.
- Risk, controls & operational discipline
- Identify, assess, and control operational risk to prevent losses and avoid potential reputational impact.
- Follow all established policies, procedures, controls and governance requirements; ensure proper documentation and audit-ready practices.
- Process improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve the client experience by standardizing, professionalizing and automating daily processes where feasible.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including better tracking, reporting and exception-management routines.
- Time management & execution
- Prioritize daily workload to maximize productivity, ensuring critical items are handled first.
- Work independently with appropriate supervision and demonstrate sound judgment under time pressure.
Required qualifications (must-have)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong client focus with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, multitask, and deliver under deadlines.
- A relentless and versatile learning mindset with the ability to quickly assimilate new industry, product, company, and technical knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills and consistent professional presence; adaptable to evolving needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work with independence, intelligence and as a team player.
- Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress (preferred).

Role overview As a Trade Lifecycle Analyst in the Cash Equities Prematching function, you will be responsible for unmatched and failing trade management for the Equities product, including day-to-day operational execution, issue resolution, and control discipline for an assigned portfolio of clients. You will act as the primary client service contact for specific prematching exceptions (e.g., unmatched trades, trade details breaks and settlement-risk events). This is a client service–oriented operations role requiring strong communication, prioritization and ownership. You will also participate in joint calls with clients and senior management to strengthen relationships, resolve recurring issues, and improve processes.
