As a Market Data Category Lead in Global Supplier Services, you will lead Sourcing and Supplier Management activities across Market Data and related service categories, helping to deliver value, manage risk, and support business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders across the firm to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate commercial agreements, and ensure effective governance of third-party relationships. In addition to category leadership responsibilities, you will provide direct people leadership, coaching, and development for a team of sourcing professionals. You will oversee prioritization, execution, and performance across the team while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. This role includes management responsibility for team members in the category.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development for a team of sourcing professionals across Jersey City, Warsaw, or Bangalore.

  • Manage team performance, workload prioritization, capacity planning, and resource allocation to support business objectives.

  • Lead strategic supplier negotiations and category initiatives across the Market Data portfolio.

  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver commercial value, risk management, and operational excellence.

  • Support the Category Director in driving team strategy, execution, and talent development.

  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and results.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of Market Data Services experience.

  • Extensive Sourcing and process knowledge.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and judgment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under deadlines

  • Ability to work effectively across regions and with all levels of management.

  • Client management and relationship management skills.

  • Strong financial analysis skills and experience conducting cost/spend analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel, plus Ariba procurement tool.

  • Understanding of legal contracts and SLAs and the ability to support contract development and compliance.
  • Experience working with third-party providers in a Financial Services context.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Category/spend management experience (managing a market facing category)
  • Project management experience delivering complex initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of ARIBA and contract drafting
  • Proven track record of broad, strategic thinking in a Sourcing or Vendor Management role.
