As an Executive Director in ABS Trading, you will help lead our voice and e-commerce market-making business, driving platform growth while managing risk with discipline and commercial judgment.
You will partner closely with trading, sales, technology, and quantitative research to improve pricing, liquidity provision, and client outcomes across the ABS franchise. Job summary
Executive Director in ABS Trading with focus on voice and e-commerce market-making and risk management to ensure successful platform function and optimal trading execution.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the ABS electronic trading platform, partnering with trading, technology, quantitative research, and sales to accelerate growth.
- Proactively market-make and trade across ABS sectors to increase the firm’s market share and expand client outreach.
- Formulate and execute trade ideas for the firm and clients using clear risk/reward parameters.
- Identify opportunities to increase market share, improve client adoption, and expand electronic trading capabilities across the ABS franchise.
- Size, understand, and manage portfolio and client risk, incorporating market environment, risk, and credit costs into pricing decisions.
- Distill complex ideas or structures into clear, meaningful communications for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Build and leverage partnerships across the firm to deliver holistic solutions to clients and enhance the firm’s reputation through expertise, professionalism, and maturity.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10+ years trading experience across voice and e-commerce platforms
- Demonstrated experience growing voice trading franchise in tandem with e-commerce platform growth
- Experience leveraging data analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve business performance and client outcomes
- Ability to work well under pressure, pay close attention to detail, and demonstrate a high degree of initiative and commitment
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- Strong understanding of securitized products
- Strong computational skills in Excel, Python, and Intex
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proven ability to synthesize client feedback, market trends, and competitive dynamics into positive business outcomes
- Experience engaging with institutional clients and translating market insights into commercial opportunities
- Understanding of cross-asset market dynamics across differing liquidity environments and regimes
- Ability to create a vision and actionable roadmap with a focus on ongoing innovation
- Ability to effectively maximize delivery of business goals and returns on investment
