As an Asset Servicing Associate within the Asset Management Middle Office team, you will oversee investment trade activity and position integrity for Hong Kong managed portfolios across global markets. You will identify and escalate breaks in the Investment Book of Record (IBOR), partner across stakeholders to design solutions, and help shape new products and operating models. You will strengthen the control environment, manage change initiatives, and ensure effective oversight of offshored and outsourced activity. Our Middle Office team supports both fund and institutional clients and works closely with portfolio managers, trading desks, and regional partners. We operate in a dynamic environment focused on operational excellence, risk discipline, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to drive transformation across processes and platforms.

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Investment Book of Record and identify position breaks across securities, derivatives, and cash
  • Escalate discrepancies to portfolio managers promptly with clear impact and proposed actions
  • Partner with portfolio managers, trading, risk, controls, compliance, client service, operations, and service providers to deliver solutions
  • Support onboarding of new products and help design new operating models with onboarding teams
  • Oversee offshored and outsourced activity, ensuring service levels and performance standards are met
  • Monitor market and regulatory developments and help implement required process and control changes
  • Lead or support initiatives including process improvements, system implementations, and new product or market launches
  • Strengthen the first-line control framework to mitigate trading, settlement, and operational risks
  • Drive timely resolution of issues through structured investigation, root cause analysis, and remediation
  • Maintain clear documentation and effective stakeholder communication across projects and daily operations
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality client outcomes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in Middle Office or Banking Operations related roles
  • Strong understanding of investment markets with cross-asset derivatives exposure
  • Derivatives product knowledge across equity and fixed income, including options, forwards, interest rate swaps, credit default swaps, credit index derivatives, and contracts for difference
  • Good knowledge of margin and collateral operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and hybrid environment, a “can do” attitude and the willingness to learn new applications in an ever-changing environment
  • Collaborative approach and motivation to build a long-term career in Asset Management industry

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Prior experience in Asset Management industry will be beneficial
  • Familiarity with investment operations workflows from trade capture through settlement and reporting
