As a Specialty Product Specialist IV in Trade and Working Capital Operations, you will process trade finance transactions that help facilitate the purchase and sale of goods. You will support timely, accurate service delivery while applying appropriate controls and escalation practices. You will monitor workflow, prioritize work, and partner with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve issues. You will contribute to process improvements and project work that enhances quality and client experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process trade finance transactions in accordance with JPMorganChase policies, procedures, and applicable rules and standards (for example, Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600), International Standard Banking Practice (ISBP), and Uniform Rules for Bank-to-Bank Reimbursements (URR 725)).
  • Monitor work queues, allocate assignments, and prioritize items to meet agreed service levels and quality standards.
  • Review transactions for potential red flags, including sanctions and financial crime concerns (for example, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and anti-money laundering requirements), and escalate items for review when required.
  • Escalate risks, exceptions, and processing issues promptly when they may impact service delivery, controls, or timelines.
  • Partner with other processing teams to share best practices and support timely end-to-end delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and partners to support issue resolution and smooth handoffs.
  • Apply strong analytical skills and attention to detail to reduce errors and rework.
  • Research complex cases and resolve breaks by validating documents, data, and transaction details.
  • Assess upstream and downstream impacts to support accurate processing and effective problem solving.
  • Participate in new initiatives and projects that improve controls, capacity, quality, and client experience.
  • Maintain a controlled environment by following local regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum 2 years of trade finance and/or trade operations experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated ability to process transactions accurately with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with common computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and research skills for issue identification and resolution
  • Working knowledge of sanctions compliance concepts, including Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and partners

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Background in Banking industry is an advantage preferably with Accounting and Finance background.
  • (CDCS) Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists & (CITF) Certificate in International Trade and Finance certifications will be an added preference.
