As a Product Associate in Data Reporting, you play a crucial role in supporting the product development process and contributing to the discovery of innovative solutions that address customer needs. Working closely with the product management team and cross-functional partners, you contribute your skills and insights to help ensure the success of our product offerings. The Product Data Analyst partners with business, engineering, design, and product teams to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will anchor emerging conversational AI initiatives—leveraging modern tools to shape how stakeholders dynamically query and interact with data through highly structured semantic models and refiner tables.
- Partner deeply with leadership and cross-functional teams to diagnose business friction points, scope analytics deliverables, and define core success metrics.
- Apply structured statistical thinking and historical trend analysis to differentiate systemic market shifts from short-term data noise, translating complex business problems into viable data-science approaches.
- Design, build, and audit core business metrics across the MS platform, ensuring consistency, governance, and seamless alignment with overarching organizational KPIs.
- Maintain an expert-level understanding of cloud database relationships, building and refining solid semantic layers (including Refiner Tables) that accurately map complex physical schemas into clean, reliable business definitions.
- Write, optimize, and scale highly performant SQL queries using complex joins, CTEs, and window functions.
- Utilize Python for data manipulation, programmatic parsing, and deep statistical analysis where traditional SQL falls short.
- Build, scale, and maintain high-impact Tableau dashboards using advanced filtering, parameters, and self-service capabilities designed for executive-level audiences.
- Deliver findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike by contextualizing what happened, analyzing why it occurred via trend lines, and recommending clear, high-impact next steps.
- Direct the evolution of conversational AI products by testing prompts, establishing strict response validation parameters, and ensuring LLM outputs map accurately to approved database metrics.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to improve chatbot accuracy, usability, and conversational pathways.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for next-generation cloud architectures, working directly with systems like Snowflake, Refiner Tables, Cortex Search, and Cortex Analyst.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience as a data analyst, OR a Master’s degree (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or Computer Science) with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience building and maintaining robust semantic layers and Refiner Tables within enterprise data architectures to ensure absolute data consistency across BI tools and AI applications.
- Mastery of advanced SQL alongside proven proficiency in Python for comprehensive data parsing, automation, or statistical exploration.
- Proven track record of building production-grade Tableau dashboards and scalable self-service reporting portals.
- Extensive experience executing structured trend analysis, cohort analysis, or predictive metric tracking to guide long-term planning.
- Strong working experience with cloud data warehouses, and knowledge of Snowflake Cortex features (Cortex Search, Cortex Analyst) and related enterprise semantic frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present findings comfortably to senior leadership.
- Hands-on experience developing or fine-tuning conversational AI tools, semantic models, or Natural Language Processing (NLP) search features.
- Experience navigating fast-paced platform environments or enterprise-level financial/operational analytics spaces.
- 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management, project management, or a relevant domain area
- Developing knowledge level of the product development life cycle
- Exposure to product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
