Global Credit Trading - Emerging Markets Credit Trader - Associate

Be at the center of global EM credit markets — learning about the product with a view to providing liquidity, managing risk, and partnering with Sales and Research to deliver client solutions.
As an Associate or Analyst in our Global Credit Trading team, you will join the New York EM Credit Trading Desk within a leading Emerging Markets Credit franchise, acting as a market maker across EM sovereign and corporate bonds. You will be quickly learning with a view to having your own trading book within the first year or two and collaborate closely with Sales and Research to generate ideas, deliver market color, and support client execution across a broad set of EM credit products.
Job responsibilities
- Monitor and manage risk for existing trade inventory across cash books for the desk
- Learn to develop risk management solutions aligned to market conditions and desk objectives
- Develop new skills to get up to speed with trading and Emerging Markets credit quickly
- Collaborate with Sales and Research to generate investment ideas
- Contribute to effective controls and disciplined risk practices consistent with internal policies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant work experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve quickly
- Clear, confident communication skills
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an analytical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, or similar)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with Emerging Markets credit products, including sovereign and corporate bonds
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic trading environment
