As a Business Manager – Analyst sits within the Finance & Business Management (F&BM) department of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) supporting the Payments Business, you support business leaders with the analysis, planning support, and communication needed to deliver on strategic and financial goals. You help translate complex performance drivers into clear insights and recommendations that inform decisions. You partner across functions to respond to regulatory and governance needs while keeping a strong focus on risk and controls. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where your ability to prioritize, communicate, and execute makes a visible impact.
Job responsibilities
- Support strategic initiatives and financial goals by tracking progress, surfacing risks, and proposing practical next steps.
- Build strategic and financial presentations for management meetings, business reviews, and senior leadership forums.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate responses to local regulatory requests and governance needs.
- Collaborate with Planning & Analysis (financial planning and analysis) partners to deliver timely analytics, financial results, and forecasts.
- Analyze revenue performance by conducting gap and variance analysis on key drivers and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Connect with partners across lines of business to understand priorities and identify ways to drive shared outcomes.
- Strengthen the risk and control agenda by supporting controls-focused routines, documentation, and issue follow-up.
- Provide proactive operational support to the broader payments management team to keep priorities moving forward.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3 years of experience in product management, business management, or finance within financial services
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of liquidity, cash management, and trade finance, including product offerings and revenue drivers
- Experience creating business reviews and senior-level presentation materials
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including building models and analyzing datasets
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including clear visual storytelling
- Ability to perform structured variance analysis and explain key drivers and trends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner across functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and follow-through
- Collaborative, inclusive working style and strong professional integrity
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience supporting a payments, transaction banking, or cash management business
- Experience working with financial forecasting, budgeting, or performance reporting cycles
- Familiarity with regulatory and governance processes in financial services
- Experience building executive-ready narratives from ambiguous or incomplete data
- Experience working in a global, cross-cultural environment
- Proficiency with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
