As a Payment Lifecycle Analyst in the Cash Asset Management team, you will support daily cash operations by monitoring intraday liquidity, executing funding activity, managing exceptions, and completing reconciliations in a deadline-driven environment. You will support timely funding decisions and cash forecasting by analyzing line of business inflows and outflows. You will investigate breaks, resolve payment issues, and communicate status and risk clearly to stakeholders. You will contribute to process improvements, testing, and resiliency activities that strengthen controls and service delivery.

Job responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage intraday cash positions across Nostro accounts to ensure adequate liquidity, partnering with Treasury on funding needs.
  • Execute fund transfers between internal and external Nostro accounts in line with controls, guidelines, and cut-off times.
  • Perform daily reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve cash breaks.
  • Monitor clearing queues and payment processing systems to support timely settlement and sustained connectivity.
  • Respond to operational issues by investigating payment delays, unmatched items, or incorrect postings using structured problem-solving.
  • Participate in regression testing and implementation activities for cash-processing enhancements.
  • Support business continuity activities and contribute to automation or process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members and global managers to simplify processes and improve service delivery using data-driven approaches.
  • Assist in managing incidents and issues, providing clear updates to senior managers and engaging relevant contacts.
  • Participate in global strategic initiatives and contribute to an inclusive and positive work culture.
  • Take ownership of issues through resolution, ensuring timely, relevant communication with stakeholders.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and propose solutions under time constraints.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail in time-sensitive, high-volume environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in cash operations, market operations, or liquidity operations within a financial institution.
  • Working knowledge of banking and payment systems and concepts (for example, SWIFT messaging, ISO 20022, real-time gross settlement systems, and reconciliation tools).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience with process automation tools or methods (for example, Alteryx, UiPath, Tableau, Python, or similar).
  • Experience sourcing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets to drive operational insights.
  • Experience industrializing new processes, including documentation, controls, and handoffs.
