Job Summary:

As an Associate Product Analyst within the Client Analytics Platform team in Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Data & Document Services, you support the evolution of analytics capabilities that enable better, faster client onboarding decisions. You translate business and data needs into clear functional specifications, detailed data flow documentation, and well-governed platform requirements under senior guidance. You contribute to agile delivery, observability, and data governance initiatives to help scale reliable, compliant analytics solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the platform roadmap by contributing to value propositions, personas, and success metrics with senior guidance
  • Collaborate with consumers to explore use cases and coordinate Data Use and Data Privacy approvals through cross-LOB forums
  • Define and track control-oriented metrics for periodic publication, highlighting gaps and improvement areas
  • Monitor platform observability across reliability, data quality, and performance, escalating issues and improvement opportunities
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications aligned to SOA/microservices, event-driven patterns, and API principles
  • Document data flows, BPM/process models, and integration patterns across platform components and downstream consumers
  • Contribute to API standards and data contract documentation to improve interoperability and reuse
  • Assist migration from legacy reporting to scalable, configuration-driven analytics capabilities
  • Validate data models, data quality rules, and lineage requirements to support analytics use cases and governance needs
  • Analyze exceptions and perform root-cause diagnostics with LOBs and Technology for sourced and consumed platform data
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and delivery tracking, contributing to experimentation, continuous improvement, and SRE-aligned practices

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Demonstrate minimum 1 year of experience in business analysis, product, or data-focused roles
  • Apply a product mindset to analytics capabilities, including value, user journeys, and success metrics
  • Utilize working knowledge of SQL and core data concepts to support validation and diagnostics
  • Understand foundational architecture concepts including APIs, SOA/microservices, and event-driven patterns
  • Document clearly using data flows, process models, and functional specifications for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate effectively across product, engineering, operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders
  • Operate in agile delivery environments, supporting backlog grooming, sprint planning, and milestone tracking

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Leverage exposure to financial services domains such as client onboarding, KYC/AML analytics, reference data, or regulatory reporting
  • Use Databricks capabilities such as Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, Notebooks, or Unity Catalog for exploration and governance
  • Apply foundational ETL knowledge including ingestion patterns, transformations, data quality validation, and orchestration concepts
  • Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Databricks SQL Dashboards to communicate insights
  • Interpret telemetry and platform health signals to support monitoring and resilience improvements
  • Recognize audit and control expectations, including privacy, access controls, GDPR, or SOX-aligned practices
  • Collaborate within global, distributed team environments across regions and time zones
