Make your mark by leading a high-visibility modernization that reshapes how teams access trusted insights at scale. You will drive a firmwide legacy analytics decommission and migration, partnering with senior leaders and global delivery teams to deliver measurable outcomes by a strategic deadline. Join a team that values ownership, career mobility, and hands-on impact across a complex technology transformation.

As a Product Manager at JPMorganChase within Commercial & Investment Banking unit, you will lead end-to-end delivery of a legacy business intelligence platform decommission and migration to modern cloud-native analytics tools. You will own inventory analysis, migration planning, and cross-functional execution to move thousands of reports, schedules, and users to approved replacement capabilities. You will partner with technology, data, and business stakeholders to prioritize migration waves, reduce scope through rationalization, and ensure continuity for critical reporting. You will provide transparent governance and executive communications to ensure delivery against a firm strategic deadline.

This role sits within a senior leadership-sponsored transformation program and focuses on retiring legacy reporting capabilities while enabling scalable, modern analytics. You will coordinate across multiple geographies and functions to align business priorities, data dependencies, and delivery sequencing. Success in this role requires strong product ownership, structured program governance, and the ability to translate complex reporting and data flows into actionable migration plans. You will balance speed of delivery with risk awareness, ensuring that regulated or controlled reporting obligations remain continuously supported.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve a comprehensive inventory of reports, schedules, and data extract processes, driving rationalization and recertification to reduce migration scope and risk.
  • Map report logic and data flows to business processes, application integrations, and downstream dependencies, prioritizing migration waves based on criticality and complexity.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across business and technology functions, facilitating workshops to document current usage, capture requirements, and define future-state reporting needs.
  • Define functional and non-functional requirements for replacement reporting capabilities, including scheduling, distribution, embedded analytics, and integration needs.
  • Drive evaluation and selection of replacement tools by coordinating structured demos, proof-of-concept activities, and decision forums aligned to program objectives and constraints.
  • Oversee migration planning and execution across data warehouse, data pipelines (extract, transform, load), and reporting layers, ensuring source-to-target mapping and semantic definitions are maintained.
  • Leverage analytics and approved automation approaches (including responsible use of artificial intelligence-enabled tooling) to accelerate usage analysis, pattern detection, and migration prioritization while maintaining appropriate risk awareness.
  • Produce clear program governance artifacts (status reporting, risks/issues/dependencies, milestone tracking, and escalation materials) for senior technology and business leadership.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across a global team, proactively surfacing blockers, managing competing priorities, and driving timely decisions.
  • Deliver change management activities including user communications, training coordination for new platforms, adoption tracking, and transition support through cutover.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Proven experience as a technical product manager or senior business analyst delivering large-scale technology decommission, data migration, or reporting transformation programs in financial services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise reporting landscapes, including report lifecycle management, self-service reporting, automated scheduling/distribution, embedded analytics, and integration with data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise reporting or analytics platform (for example: Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Microsoft Power BI, MicroStrategy, Sigma, Cognos, SAP BusinessObjects, or similar).
  • Experience analyzing, rationalizing, and migrating large report inventories, including prioritization, wave planning, and execution tracking.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts (for example: dimensional modeling, facts and dimensions, and data marts) sufficient to assess migration impacts and dependencies.
  • Working knowledge of data integration patterns and pipeline scheduling sufficient to document data flows and coordinate re-platforming activities with engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL), including complex joins and reconciliations used to validate migration completeness and data quality.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience facilitating workshops, aligning cross-functional priorities, and driving decisions across senior audiences.
  • Program governance capability, including structured planning, milestone management, dependency management, and executive-ready communications.
  • Awareness of regulated, controlled, or audit-relevant reporting considerations and the need to maintain continuity during platform transitions.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects and/or Crystal Reports (for example: Web Intelligence, scheduling, universe design, or report development).
  • Experience building dashboards or reports in modern analytics tools (for example: calculations, parameters, filters, and visualization best practices).
  • Experience using analytics automation or artificial intelligence-enabled tools (e.g. Databricks Genie, Snowflake Cortex, ChatGPT/Copilot) to accelerate dataset analysis or workflow efficiency in a controlled enterprise environment.
  • Experience with cloud-native data platforms (for example: Snowflake, Databricks, or Google BigQuery) and how reporting tools connect to cloud query engines.
  • Experience with SQL performance tuning, data profiling, anomaly detection, and end-to-end data quality validation.
  • Experience coordinating user acceptance testing across distributed user groups and supporting structured change management.
  • Experience engaging vendors and running structured evaluations, proofs of concept, or request-for-information/request-for-proposal processes.
