As a Credit Risk Management Governance Lead in the Wealth Management Risk Management Governance team, you strengthen the Private Bank credit risk governance framework by maintaining and enhancing policies, procedures, controls, committee governance, and issues management, while coordinating internal, external, and regulatory examinations and providing independent challenge across locations and seniority levels.

As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you play a central role in helping the firm grow responsibly by anticipating new and emerging risks and applying sound judgment to solve real-world challenges affecting the company, customers, and communities. You will partner closely with credit approval and analysis teams, Audit, Compliance, Controls, Legal, and the business to drive efficient and effective processes. In this highly visible role, you will lead responses to audit and regulatory inquiries, run examination-related meetings, and deliver clear reporting and communications to senior management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead credit risk governance initiatives and associated change management efforts.
  • Coordinate end-to-end regulatory examinations, audits, and testing for Private Bank Credit Risk.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for regulators, auditors, and testing teams, including leading meetings and coordinating responses to inquiries.
  • Draft high-quality written responses to examination requests and consultation papers aligned to firm policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Assess credit risk controls, document observations, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Drive timely remediation and sustainable control enhancements for identified issues and findings.
  • Strengthen committee and forum governance, including preparing materials, agendas, and minutes.
  • Maintain transparent tracking, reporting, and escalation of audit and examination matters, including emerging risks and governance concerns.
  • Build working knowledge of end-to-end lending and credit processes, partnering with front office, middle office, Legal, Compliance, and Risk and Control teams to address risk and regulatory exposure.
  • Participate in the firm's innovation programs.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in auditing, accounting, internal controls, regulatory strategy, compliance, legal, consulting, and/or credit analysis with a credit risk focus.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk concepts and controls; underwriting and/or credit approval experience.
  • Familiarity with Wealth Management business model, processes, and operating model; able to navigate complex methods across products and activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with regulators and senior management while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong project management, time management, and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to shifting priorities, take ownership, perform under pressure, and deliver accurate results to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels, collaborate across teams, provide credible challenge on initiatives, processes, and products, and translate complex analysis into actionable, data-driven insights.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Strong written and spoken English skills; German language skills are a plus.
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and credit risk infrastructure tools.
