Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to join our Planning team in Spokane, WA!
Responsibilities
Has an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for our Planning Services practice team while growing their own projects, clients and team around them.
- Lead a practice specializing in urban and regional master planning, land use and zoning, and land planning focused in the local region.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
Project Managers are encouraged to pursue opportunities that fuel their professional passion and contribute to firmwide success.

Leadership responsibilities include:
Lead a team while building and managing relationships with key clients.
Operate with integrity and sound business principles.
Provide practice vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships.
Open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing a Community Planning Services practice.
Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with clients, government agencies, landowners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that the project adheres to zoning regulations, environmental laws, and other legal requirements.
- Identify potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure that the project is executed with a high level of quality and meets the client's expectations.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of years progressive experience growing and leading a diverse Land Planning practice with clients
- Bachelors Degree or higher in city or regional planning or related
- Registered American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Preferred
- Local and regional experience preferred
- Provide high quality deliverables with exceptional client service
- A desire to lead and grow a planning practice
- Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
Salary Range:
- $120k - $150k
- Eligible for Performance Based Bonus
